Cognitive technology uses in 3D printing and 3D scanning

  I am not aware of any applications where cognitive technologies have been used in the new disruptive technologies of 3D printing and 3D scanning. Steel 3D Printing - Video

3D Printing Steel with Binder Jetting Technology  I found this very interesting video from Shapeways showing how they 3D print steel from beginning to end. Binder Jetting is a very technology intensive process as well as time and manpower consuming. I hope this technology will become cheaper so more manufacturers can afford these type of machines.
